1804: Sold by John Anderson while under construction to Andrew O’ Sullivan, publican at a yearly rent of ₤9
1814: Sold by Andrew O’ Sullivan to Robert Carr a merchant from City of Cork.
1818, 7th December, Bought by James Barry Attorney-at-law.
1832, 7th January, Virginia house left by James Barry by will to his wife Anne and son also James.
1839, 2nd March, Anne Barry and James Barry sold house to Rev. Robert Quinn who died 1841 in testate leaving his widow Mrs Kerr and two daughters
Robina and Annie. Robina was married to Rev. Robert Beatty residing at Convoy, Donegal. Annie married Rev. Hugh Blaine and lived in Colac, Australia.
1865 Robina Beatty and Annie Blaine sold Virginia House to Thomas Robinson, House Painter who died on 4th July 1903. Administration of his estate was granted to Stephen Mills, a Marine
Store Dealer and Charles Burgess, Coach Maker. Charles left his life interests to his wife Theresa and then to their Daughter Annie who sold Virginia House on 8th November 1907 to Richard Bartley for
₤325.
1914, 4th February, Richard Bartley left Virginia House on his death to his wife Mary.
1952, 2nd April, Mary Bartley on her death passed on the house to her son David. David Bartley died in April, 1964 and left Virginia House to his wife Susan Bartley in his will. In 1976 the house was passed on
to her son Leo and wife Mary, the present owners of the house. Susan Bartley lived on in the house until her death in 1988.
From 1907 to 1934, Virginia House was leased to Josephine Murray who ran it as a boarding house letting the rooms while living herself in the attic.
She is buried in Castlehyde graveyard and has a wrought iron cross.
